Cold plunging is an increasingly popular practice that offers numerous benefits for the body and mind. Immersing in cold water stimulates white blood cells to help fight sickness and strengthens the immune system, and activates the lymphatic system while also detoxing the body. Finally, the initial shock of cold water triggers the release of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, providing a natural high.
