Umbrella Ship Is Performing at the California State Fair

This summer, members of the Umbrella Ship team will bring their signature mix of imagination, movement, and interactive performance to the California State Fair in Sacramento.

The California State Fair brings together live entertainment, music, food, exhibits, rides, competitions, and family-friendly experiences from across the state. For Umbrella Ship, it is a chance to do what we love most: bring interactive, imaginative, and human-centered performance into a lively public setting.

Our work is rooted in atmosphere, connection, and play. Whether we are creating immersive characters, visual performance, circus-inspired moments, or interactive entertainment, the goal is never just to be watched. The goal is to help people feel more present, more curious, and more connected to the event around them.

That makes the State Fair a natural fit.

Fair environments are full of movement, surprise, and shared experience. Guests are already exploring, discovering, and participating. Umbrella Ship’s performance team will be adding to that energy with creative entertainment designed to meet people where they are and invite them into the moment.

The 2026 California State Fair takes place July 17 through August 2 at Cal Expo in Sacramento.
